Connecting content with design system
This recipe will cover how to connect your content from Uniform to your front-end design system, in just a few clicks.

Introduction

Once you have created your content model in Uniform and have content entries that you want to use, then the next step is to connect your content with your front-end design system.
With Uniform, you don’t need a developer for this task, as many elements are configuration-driven and can be achieved in a few steps.
A marketing technologist or an architect is typically the person who does this type of configuration.

Content type

In this recipe, we want to use the content from an article content type with the following fields:

Content entries

With the content types, multiple content entries have been created, e.g.:

Connecting to a hero component

The first step we want to achieve is to connect the article content with a Hero that can serve as a call to action for a specific article.
The video below shows how this can be done in a few steps.

Creating a dynamic page

In the next step, we want to create a new dynamic page to render any article, it doesn’t matter if we have five or millions of articles, this page is the template for all articles.
The video below shows how to enable a dynamic article page in Uniform, connecting to the content from the Article content type.
Once these steps are completed, you are ready to write content in Uniform CMS. Once published, it can be displayed using your front-end design system.
